Tumwater certifies TBD election for pavement maintenance after strong voter approval

Council members and staff said the TBD proceeds will support the city’s multi-year pavement maintenance program; staff framed the certification as a validation of the program Tumwater has used over the past decade to maintain roads. No new council action was requested at the meeting; staff said they will continue project planning and implementation under the voter-approved funding mechanism.
