The county will pay a $190,000 purchase order at time of order and the remaining $532,350 at completion. Estimated delivery time provided by staff is three years. Staff also said the county could reduce cost by purchasing the chassis separately through the South Carolina state contract and providing it to the manufacturer, saving roughly $12,000–$15,000.
County Administrator David Caddell said the ambulances will be paid from the EMS special revenue fund. Council approved the purchase unanimously.
