After returning from a closed session at 6:55 p.m. on May 5, 2025, the Lamar Consolidated Independent School District Board of Trustees voted to accept and adopt the administration’s recommendation to give notice of proposed termination to employee Farrah Harkrider.
Trustee Mandy Bronzell moved to “accept and adopt the administration's recommendation for proposed action to give notice of proposed termination to employee Farrah Harkrider.” Trustee Kate Danziger seconded. The board called the vote; members responded in the affirmative and the motion carried with no recorded opposition.
The meeting recessed into closed session earlier under Texas Government Code sections 551.071, 551.072, 551.074 and 551.082, listed by the board, which cover attorney consultation, real property, personnel matters and certain discipline matters. Trustees returned to open session before making the motion and vote; the board did not make further public comment about the grounds for the proposed termination during the open session.
The board adjourned at 6:56 p.m.
