Board approves going to bid for annual asphalt maintenance across district sites

Last year—s successful bid for a similar package was about $391,000; the staff presenter said the district budgeted about $400,000 for this year's maintenance and will solicit bids to see final costs.
The board moved and seconded the authorization without extended debate and approved the solicitation unanimously.
Why this matters: routine asphalt maintenance preserves parking lots, driveways and walkways and helps avoid more costly full reconstructions. The board and staff noted the expense was already included in the current budget, not a new appropriation.
