The Select Board voted April 14 to approve an amended Climate Action Committee charge that reduces the committee's membership from nine to seven members, following a formal request from the committee and staff guidance.
Wendy (staff liaison) told the board the Climate Action Committee was formed two years earlier through consolidation of two prior committees; the original nine-member structure reflected the combined groups but with new recruitments and the committee's assessment of workload they recommended a smaller, more manageable membership. Board members discussed the timing for a larger refresh of the committee charge during the coming year as the town revisits its Climate Action Plan.
The board approved the revised charge in open session and asked staff to forward public comments for the committee's consideration when the committee revisits its work plan.
