The Concord Board of Health unanimously appointed Bethany Yates as an agent and health inspector at its meeting Wednesday, March 19, 2025, after a brief introduction and a motion to approve her appointment.
The appointment followed a motion to approve the board’s February meeting minutes, which the board also approved unanimously before moving to the personnel item. Chair Randy Crane introduced Yates and said she began in the division in February and “has taken off the ground running.” Yates responded, “Thank you. Happy to be here.”
Melanie (Public Health Director) told the board Yates has three years of inspection experience in Framingham and prior experience in Dedham, including work as an animal control officer, and that she is familiar with food code, septic and housing inspections. The motion to appoint Yates was made and seconded by board members; the vote was recorded as unanimous.
The board did not assign additional duties during the meeting; staff will incorporate Yates into ongoing permitting, inspections and enforcement work.
The board opened and closed the appointment item in the regular agenda; there were no abstentions or recorded conditions attached to the appointment.
