The board also approved a traffic signal maintenance supplement and resolution providing $129,475 to support maintenance of 38 intersections.
On design and planning, the board authorized staff to negotiate with and return with a contract after negotiating with the top‑ranked firms for the Public Safety Complex design RFQ (PQH Group Design, North Florida Professional Services and CRA Architects were the top three ranked firms). Separately, the board approved an RFP award for a comprehensive plan services contract with Kimley‑Horn for $278,000.
Commissioners and staff noted market volatility and contingency when discussing project cost estimates and urged linking routine resurfacing dollars to safety countermeasures where possible to improve grant match opportunities.
