The Dickinson City Commission on May 6 gave final approval to a zoning-map amendment that rezones part of Block 4 of the New Haven Second Addition from unzoned and community-commercial to public.
City Planner Natalie Burchek said the rezoning will allow the Park District to use the site for plantings and to establish a community orchard. She noted the matter previously had a public hearing on April 15 and staff recommended approval for the final reading. Commissioners moved, seconded and recorded aye votes for the ordinance’s adoption.
