The group heard from one member of the public, Jim Johnson, who described AAA’s limited towing distances and narrow scope of services, and encouraged the board to weigh practical benefit. A board member noted a staff comment that the AAA representative said she could remove credit‑card data for people who sign up to prevent automatic renewal, but supervisors remained hesitant. With no clear support, the board did not vote to adopt the program.
