City staff asked the Redmond City Council to place an amendment to the 2023–2024 Go Redmond contract with King County Metro on the May 20 consent agenda. The amendment would extend the existing contract through December 2025 and allow the city to use $38,400 in unspent match funds from the 2023–2024 term.
Linnea Taylor, the city’s program administrator for the Traffic Demand Management (TDM) program, summarized the Go Redmond program’s structure: employer TDM, residential TDM, equitable TDM and TDM pilot programs. Taylor said Metro proposes amending the 2023–2024 contract to extend it through December 2025 and that “this amendment would allow for us to use the unspent match funds from 20 23, 20 24. That equates to a 38,400.”
Taylor also said the amendment updates terms and conditions and adds the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) to reviewers of funding uses, quarterly reporting and project scopes. Staff requested placement of the amendment on the May 20 consent agenda.
Presiding Officer Stewart asked if there were objections to placing the amendment on consent; none were raised and the item will return on May 20.
