The board agreed to a textual change in one policy section to remove a long list of example activities and instead emphasize “lifetime recreational activities,” with trustees suggesting adding specific activities (such as swimming) only where appropriate. Trustees also reviewed chapter 9’s impact‑fee exhibits; staff clarified earlier figures and noted a correction to a pavilion bathroom cost (noting $500,000 rather than $50,000) that affected dedications in an exhibit memo. Board members discussed the cumulative effect of impact fees, connection fees and other charges on new home affordability and asked for future conversations on impact‑fee policy.
After resolving edits and discussing exhibit clarifications, a trustee moved and seconded adoption of the 2025–2029 Parks and Open Space Master Plan; the board approved the plan by voice vote. Staff and trustees thanked Mike and his team for their work on the plan.
