County OKs managed services agreement with Oracle to convert payroll to Redwood design

Weber County commissioners approved a managed-services agreement with Oracle on May 6 to convert the county payroll module to Oracle's Redwood design, county staff said.
Human resources/IT staff told the commission the Redwood design is a newly supported user interface and includes functionality not available when the county originally implemented Oracle, including improved project costing and other payroll features. Emily Weil presented the managed-services agreement and said Oracle will "help support moving the payroll module into the new Redwood design, which is the new supported software for our HR system." Weil added the conversion should improve payroll performance, time savings and accuracy.
Commissioner Gage Frower moved approval of the Oracle managed-service agreement as presented; the motion was seconded and carried unanimously. No commissioner comments opposing the agreement were recorded on the public record.
Staff indicated the county will use Oracle's services to complete the conversion; separate implementation planning and timelines will follow contract execution and will be managed by county IT and HR staff.
