DuPage County transportation committee approves multiple procurement contracts for 2025-26

The committee approved a purchase to Curry Motors (Frankfort) for one Ford Explorer at $46,261 and a second Curry Motors contract for one Ford F-150 SuperCab at $44,912; both purchases were listed as procured pursuant to the Governmental Joint Purchasing Act.
The committee also approved a contract to Safe Step LLC for sidewalk saw cutting as needed from 05/14/2025 through 02/28/2026 not to exceed $70,000 under the Intergovernmental Cooperation Act; a fleet-tracking equipment and service agreement with Carahsoft Technologies Corporation from 06/01/2025 through 05/31/2026 not to exceed $75,000; and a consent contract with Genuine Parts Company (d/b/a Nappa Auto Parts) for automotive repair and replacement parts not to exceed $225,000 for the period through 04/30/2026. Each of these items was moved, seconded and approved by voice vote.
The committee recorded these awards as a package motion. No member raised substantive objections during the motion and second; the chair called the question and members responded "Aye." The approvals were described in the agenda as either sole-source or procured via joint purchasing or intergovernmental cooperation authorities.
The contracts are intended to support routine maintenance and repairs of county-owned and -operated equipment and to supply parts and services for seasonal and ongoing operations. The committee did not discuss changes to scope, nor did the meeting record identify any dissenting votes on these items.
The committee also approved additional vehicle and equipment vendor contracts and standard parts contracts on the same voice vote under the same combined motion.
The county will publish contract documents consistent with its procurement rules; specific implementation dates and delivery schedules were not discussed in detail at the meeting.
