Marty Smith (filling in for staff) told the commission the promoter had been seeking to locate the event in Weber County and the county had agreed to a reduced track fee plus a revenue-sharing arrangement. When commissioners asked what the competitors "pull," staff answered, "Trucks'— big heavy weights'they're on a sled. They pull big sleds."
Commissioner Gage Frower moved approval of the contract as presented; the motion was seconded and carried. Commissioners welcomed the event as another attraction for the Golden Spike Events Center and approved the agreement on the record.
