Organizer Chad McCullough apologized for a late submission and described the event as the same route used in prior years, leaving from the amphitheater and circling the usual course. He said he had talked with Chief Cochran and the police department would staff the event; the organizers will follow behind in a utility vehicle (golf cart/MERV) to provide on-course medical response if needed.
"I've spoken with chief Cochran. He's good with having the officers that are needed for that day. And then we always follow behind him in our MERV to make sure if there's an injury, we're right there with medical care," McCullough said.
The board approved the closures and staffing by voice vote. Staff confirmed the organizer had submitted required paperwork and the route will be coordinated with police.
