During the public-comment portion of the meeting, the Vigo County Health Department introduced Lily Yeagley, a recent Indiana University graduate who will help the county with Spanish-language translation and produce how-to videos for county services.
Yeagley described her public-health experience with the county since 2020, including contact tracing and restaurant inspections, and said she will start producing how-to videos — for tasks such as obtaining a birth certificate or a food permit — in both English and Spanish. Health-department staff said they will post the videos online in coordination with the county’s IT team.
Commissioners expressed appreciation for Yeagley’s work and the additional language access and outreach support it will provide.
