The principal provided a staffing list and said the district recently hired Katie Pegnam, an SLPA, who “starts tomorrow” and will make up services for students whose speech services were affected by staffing changes. The principal said speech teacher Jen Lancione continues as the full‑time speech teacher and that the district contracts a BCBA, Renee Collison, for behavior‑analytic services.
On enrollment and IEP counts the principal reported: “59 out of our total enrollment of 291, including our pre k, is 20% of our total enrollment are on IEP.” She added that when the current fifth graders move to the regional middle school next year, the district’s IEP percentage would drop to 14.5%. The principal said staff are tracking missed services and offering make‑up services into the summer for families who want them.
Board members asked about screening, referrals and discharge data; staff said they will bring end‑of‑year discharge counts next time. The principal described transition planning for students moving to the middle school and said the district has “a great partnership with CMS” to coordinate IEP transitions.
