Christopher Carey, Glynn County planning and zoning staff, told the commission, “Before you tonight, we have a site plan approval for 10 Edwards Lane for Pentecostal Holiness.” The plan calls for 66 parking spaces, exceeding the 43 required by the county’s parking standard for places of worship.
The approval matters because it expands the church’s facilities and changes on‑site parking and circulation. The site is located off Old Jesup Road, just north of Glendale Elementary School. Carey presented the site plan, elevations and a zoomed site map during the meeting and indicated possible motions for commissioners to consider.
Peter Schonauer, representing the Pentecostal Holiness Church trustees, said, “I’m just here to ask for you to approve the site plan as presented.” No members of the public spoke in favor or opposition during the public‑hearing portion.
A commissioner made a motion to approve SP‑25‑6 as presented; a second was recorded and the commission voted 6–0 to approve the site plan. The record did not identify the mover or seconder by name.
The approval is a site‑plan decision; further permits or inspections required for construction will be processed through county permitting and building division channels.
