Select Board approves Eagle Scout’s flagpole and landscaping at Brentwood Historical Society

Aksush Penyamatsa, a life scout from Troop 323 and a sophomore at Exeter High School, presented an Eagle Scout project to the Select Board requesting permission to install a 24‑foot flagpole and landscape the grounds at the Brentwood Historical Society.
Penyamatsa said the flag would be 4 by 6 feet and cost about $50. He said scouts from Troop 323 will perform the work and he will raise the flag at the historical society’s July 12 open house commemorating the 250th anniversary of American Independence Day.
Select Board members praised the proposal. A motion to allow the project and provide the town flag carried unanimously.
