The board also approved a proposed Grades 9–12 trip to Greece in June 2026. Leah Gunderson, who said she had previously chaperoned international trips, told the board there was strong student interest and described the travel company's insurance and experience. Gunderson said the application listed "a 50,000,000, million dollar general liability coverage" (quote in transcript). She said the district is listed as "supported" rather than "sponsored," that payment processing is handled through the travel company and that chaperones are experienced. Trustees asked about safety and logistics; presenters said EF provides emergency contacts and on-the-ground support. The motion to approve the Greece trip passed by voice vote.
