Resident Greg Olajar said he observed work near his house and recalled a prior discussion about pausing work on the berm for the firing range. A trustee who identified himself as an existing trustee said the only work currently under way "is to fill out the obligation that we had to you originally when the building was being put up. That berm was not completed when I came out and met with you. That wasn't done, so I wanted to make sure that that in fact was done with the spoils and to the best of my knowledge and from what I can see, that's what they're doing." The trustee added crews were allowing dirt to dry before placement to avoid odor.
On the larger question of the firing range, the trustee said the prior board had tabled that proposal to allow the current board and new members to discuss and explore alternative locations; "there's been no further discussion since then." Olajar did not receive additional new timeline commitments at the meeting; trustees reiterated the project remained on hold while the board examines options.
