After an executive session the board returned to open session and approved the temporary teacher recommendations for 2025–26. The motion to approve these temporary teacher recommendations passed on roll call with Mullins, Hamlin (or Hammond in roll call), Naugle, Spoon and Moyers recorded as voting yes on that motion. Later in the meeting the board approved employment recommendations for the 2024–25 school year; the roll-call votes recorded Mullins, Hammond, Naugle, Spoon and Wagers as voting “aye.”
The board approved accepting bids for playground equipment at Limestone Technology Academy. The motion passed on roll call with unanimous recorded ayes. The meeting also noted that a staff member, identified in the agenda as Miss Schuler, had rescinded a previously filed resignation; the board accepted the rescission by motion and roll-call vote.
During the personnel votes the superintendent confirmed that Chris Clemons had been approved for hire as operations director: “I will let him know,” Miss Durkee said when asked to notify him.
The board also authorized compilation and filing of the superintendent evaluation and moved other routine personnel items under the consent agenda. No litigation or other non-agenda matters were discussed in open session.
