On bills, the court noted the first tranche of safe‑room rebate checks had gone out (five checks in the batch) and discussed a disputed Iowa Park water bill. The city of Iowa Park credited $880 and the adjusted payment listed in bills was $4,297.54; the cause of the high water usage was not resolved at the meeting. The court approved disbursing payroll and bills with a motion that carried 4 ayes and 1 nay (Commissioner Beauchamp cast the lone no vote on that item).
The court rescinded a prior order and approved Enterprise Fleet Management quote number 886005251 to purchase a 2025 Chevy Silverado 1500 for $53,664 to be paid from remaining Senate Bill 22 monies; that motion, moved by Commissioner Mahler and seconded by Commissioner Watts, passed 5‑0. County staff said Enterprise had to source the vehicle from dealers after the manufacturer window closed, increasing the price.
Commissioner Veachone reported that a final punch‑walk on the courthouse project is scheduled for Thursday, that interior flooring work is underway and that some offices have been temporarily relocated during finishing work. Staff said parking‑lot work had been delayed but interior contractor work continues and final items will be addressed before full re‑occupancy.
