The City Council opened public introductions May 5 for upcoming appointments to the Tomball Economic Development Corporation (EDC), the Planning and Zoning Commission (P&Z) and the Capital Improvement Program Advisory Committee (CPAC). Staff clarified board structures and terms during the discussion; city staff noted the P&Z/CPAC membership is largely overlapping and that a municipal statutory requirement calls for an ETJ (extra-territorial jurisdiction) representative on the P&Z. No council votes were taken during the introductions; councilmembers said they will consider applicants and vote at the subsequent meeting.
