Carroll County commissioners approve consent agenda, add Ag Advisory Committee appointment

The consent package included two solid-waste equipment purchases, a Correctional Institute camera system upgrade, adoption of the county massage-and-spa ordinance, appointments to the Board of Tax Assessors, appointments related to emergency medical services (reach-in for EMS), and appointments to the planning and zoning commission. The agenda item also included appointments to the Agricultural Advisory Committee for Districts 1, 3 and 5 and at-large seats.
Chairman Michelle Morgan accepted an on-the-spot amendment to add Joshua Hollingsworth as the District 4 appointee to the Agricultural Advisory Committee; commissioners approved the amendment and then approved the full consent agenda 7-0.
Board minutes from the April regular meeting and the April 15 budget work session were also approved by unanimous vote. Commissioners did not take separate roll-call votes on each consent subitem; the board voted on the consent agenda as a single block as permitted by county practice and noted that related materials had been available in the public work session and on the county website.
No substantive debate on individual consent items was recorded during the meeting; the board moved on to business-session items after the vote.
