Howard County commissioners on an evening meeting approved a local public agency (LPA) consultant contract with Lochmuller Group for work on Bridge 30, with the county highway representative saying the contract total will not exceed $298,000.
The agreement was presented by Steven Osborne of the County Highway Department, who said five consultants submitted letters of interest and all were scored using the federal standard. "Lochmuller Group was found to be the high score and awarded the contract," Osborne said.
The contract was described at the meeting as "not to exceed $298,000." Commissioners moved, seconded and voted to approve the contract during the meeting; the motion carried without further discussion.
After the vote, Osborne confirmed he had the contract available for signature and the board arranged for signatures and follow-up transmission of the executed document.
The action concluded the agenda item; the board then proceeded to other business.
