School board moves to closed attorney‑client session to discuss pending litigation

Haynes said, “Staff are not permitted in the closed attorney client session.” The chair estimated the closed session would last approximately 30 minutes.
Krista Goodrich made the motion to move into the closed session; Reuben Colon seconded the motion. The chair called for the voice vote and said, “All those in favor of approving that we will move to a closed executive session pending litigation, please say aye.” The meeting minutes record the motion was approved and the board left the public room to meet upstairs.
The special meeting reopened at 1:55 p.m., and Haynes adjourned the session. No public action or final public disposition of the litigation was announced at reopening.
