The board approved a proclamation recognizing the month and the county's Senior Day event scheduled for May 21, 2025. The proclamation text called on residents to challenge age‑related stereotypes and to support older adults' ability to remain involved in community life.
Commissioners praised program staff and volunteers, noted the county's Subaru Share the Love donation of about $3,018 in unrestricted funds to the senior program, and encouraged public attendance at Senior Day.
