The ceremony formally installed Tracy Welch as mayor for a four-year term. City Clerk Peggy Bateman and City Treasurer Charles Enconzo were sworn to four-year terms. The council also swore in Steven R. Parrott (Alderman, Ward 1), Sam Downs (Alderman, Ward 2), Dennis L. Clemens Sr. (Alderman, Ward 3) and Rhonda O'Donoghue (Alderman, Ward 4) to four-year terms. David Sanders was sworn in to a two-year term as Alderman, Ward 2.
Swearing-in ceremonies are customary at the first council meeting after an election and mark the start of each official's term. No council votes were required for the ceremonial oaths.
