Hendry County School Board gets progress update on new LaBelle High School site and schedule

Officials explained that as the project reaches procurement milestones there will be frequent agenda items asking for approvals of contractors, materials and change orders. “Over the next 18 months, you’re gonna see it really ramping up,” a district official said, adding that staff may call additional meetings and more frequent finance sections on board agendas to handle time‑sensitive purchases.
Staff also said a vendor QR code and sign‑up list will be published on the district website to notify potential subcontractors of bidding opportunities. The administration said it will use an RFP process for subcontractors once 60% plans are complete and that most earthwork and site‑work bids will be among the first procurement steps.
