Baltimore County senior concert at Oregon Ridge set for June 3 with Lido Deck band

The Baltimore County Department of Aging will hold its annual Concert in the Park on Tuesday, June 3, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Oregon Ridge, the department said during a county broadcast.
Kathleen Young, senior center regional manager for the Baltimore County Department of Aging, said the event will feature the local band Lido Deck, described in the broadcast as "where yacht rock meets classic rock," and will follow a cruise-themed program with a best-dressed contest encouraging navy, white, pinstripes or captain hats.
Young said the event will include a craft station where guests can make a sailor's-knot bracelet, a treasure hunt, and a Baltimore County Public Library table offering temporary airbrush tattoos. Box lunches will be available from Fat Boys Catering and must be ordered online in advance by May 23 for $10; choices listed on air included tuna or chicken salad, turkey or ham sandwich, or a chef salad, served with chips and a cookie. Young said tickets are $8 at the door or $5 in advance (a $3 discount) and can be purchased online or at local senior centers. The broadcast said the event is rain or shine and that there are no refunds.
Organizers suggested attendees bring a lawn chair or blanket and protective sun gear because shade is limited. Young encouraged early purchase of advance tickets to secure the $5 price and reminded listeners that lunches cannot be ordered at senior centers on the day of the event.
