The Veil Service Commission on May 6 recertified its lateral transfer list for hiring, removing Ellie Davidson—who staff said was hired last year by the state police department—and adding David Hirschberger to the list.
Staff told the commission the current lateral transfer list had four names and that Davidson was being removed because she accepted a state police position; staff presented Hirschberger as the single addition. The commission approved the recertification on a voice vote; Miss Campbell, Mister Spring and Mister Elvigore recorded "yes."
Staff noted the department also maintains a civil service testing list for candidates and said several additional inquiries had been received about lateral transfers. The commission was told the recertification was related to an open position and ongoing recruitment efforts.
No additional personnel actions or appointments were taken at the meeting. The commission adjourned after completing the recertification vote.
