"The transformation is not just about the physical improvements, although those are very important. It's about fostering a sense of belonging and pride in our city," Mayor Keith James said at the event.
The mayor said Curry Park will remain one of the city's 57 parks and called the waterfront site "a jewel just waiting to be polished." He listed the amenities planned for the redesign and emphasized the project's role in making the park more welcoming to visitors who already use the space and to those who will come for the first time.
