Tim Ramsey (Representative, Bicam Services) presented his annual update and said the organization had not requested an increase in two years and that the requested 5% increase—$2,270—comes from the developmental disability appropriation rather than the general fund. He described stabilized bed counts and recent rate improvements in supported-living waiver rates that improved the organization’s financial position. “This year, we're positive about $216,000,” he said, adding that earlier years had been financially difficult.
Commissioners discussed the request and moved to approve the amount. One commissioner noted that Bicam serves 53 Adams County residents in the program; the motion was seconded and recorded as approved during the meeting.
Staff said the approved amount will be included in the commissioners’ budget for 2026 and forwarded to the County Council for inclusion in the final county budget process.
