Deputy Superintendent Rachel O—Day told the board "this is an annual process that we go through when we review our student progression plan to make sure that we're incorporating any new or updated legislative changes or any practices that we may have refined." She said the district—s curriculum and level chiefs worked with technology staff to put the AIP into Focus so notifications and records will be kept in one place rather than through multiple paper or electronic forms.
Why it matters: District staff said the AIP is intended to reduce duplication and confusion for families and school staff by putting statutorily required notices, tiered interventions and next-step options in one, searchable location.
