Officials said bid timing is needed to meet grant obligations; board members approved the request to advertise and proceed with bidding.
Separately, Jerry Jackson asked for release of retainage for the McClung Road sewer project; the board approved final payment of $11,380.94 to TGB Unlimited after receipt of as-built drawings and confirmation that project deliverables were met.
All items were approved by voice vote. City staff emphasized ongoing coordination with contractors and other jurisdictions for timely completion of paving and drainage work.
