The Linn County Board of Supervisors on Monday approved two letters of support for external grant applications: one for the City of Ely's FY2026 Community Project Funding request for Old Town District Infrastructure and Connectivity Improvements, and one for Horizons Family Services' grant application for the Anna Mills program.
Board members asked staff to correct clerical errors in the letters before final signing; one supervisor noted the letter listed the wrong supervisor's name and staff said they would update it. The chair moved to approve and authorize the chair to sign both letters retroactive to May 2; both motions carried unanimously.
No substantive policy discussion or financial commitment to either project or grant was made during the approvals; the letters are statements of support to accompany external grant applications.
