Sheriff’s office reports jail repairs, HVAC and equipment work; canine retirement proposed

Work to replace five to 10 windows in inmate pods was expected to begin the week of the meeting.
Staff also said hot‑water pumps for the boilers had been replaced and that a security system control panel installation would begin. In a personnel-related note, the sheriff proposed the process to retire the department canine, Lambo, assigned to Deputy Chase Miller; paperwork for the retirement was expected at the next meeting.
No contract vendors, cost estimates or funding sources for the repairs were provided in the meeting remarks; staff presented these items as routine maintenance and planned work.
