- SHIP Local Housing Assistance Plan (LHAP) resolution 4340: Council adopted the city’s FY2025–FY2028 State Housing Initiatives Partnership local housing assistance plan. Staff said the LHAP sets program strategies (no specific funding amounts) and noted an added foreclosure prevention strategy that could provide up to $8,000 for eligible households. - Contract award: Council awarded the Stone Magnet Middle Safe Routes to School construction contract to WT Comp Inc. (project 85422) for $857,861.69 (see separate item for details).
- Septic-to-sewer program (resolutions 4341 and 4342): Council adopted the city’s updated septic-to-sewer grant program and delegated authority to the city manager to award funds when grant sources become available. The program includes a $30,000 per-property cap without separate council approval.
- Resolution 4343: Council authorized the city attorney to submit a request for an advisory opinion to the Florida Attorney General concerning firefighter cancer benefits procedures. Council approved the resolution after staff explained a procedural change in the attorney general’s submission requirements.
