Romac contract signed for new animal shelter; commissioners to review contractor color samples

The county asked the contractor to submit sample colors and brick swatches for review. A county official said staffer Miss Reed would help gather options, and the commission agreed to hold a color-selection discussion once contractor samples arrive. "I've asked them to get us some samples... so we can kinda everybody can kinda figure out what do we like," a county official said.
Commissioners also said the animal control director should attend color-selection meetings because the building will serve that office. The animal control director was in attendance and the commission confirmed he will be involved in all color selections.
Ending: Commissioners decided to retain sample swatches until the next meeting and compare contractor-submitted samples with the vendor-supplied options, then finalize colors at a future meeting.
