City staff asks ARB members for comments on Land Development Code rewrite

City planning staff updated the Architectural Review Board on the Land Development Code (LDC) rewrite at the April 17 meeting, asking board members to review draft materials and submit comments ahead of public workshops and a second draft.
Adrian, a planning staff member leading the rewrite, said staff is working through a reorganization and consolidation in draft 1 and expects a cleaned draft 2 for internal review soon. He asked ARB members who work closely with the code to use the project website’s survey and idea wall to note what they like about the existing code and to suggest specific changes for historic‑district provisions. The second draft will incorporate comments before the city releases public workshops and open houses.
“Now’s the time that we need those comments from all of our board members who are kind of in the nitty‑gritty of these applications and code and things like that,” Adrian said. Staff said it will send direct links to the board and provide advance notice of open houses and workshops when dates are set.
