The Palm Bay City Council on Wednesday postponed a public‑hearing vote on a wide revision to the city's land development review procedures and approved, on first reading, related changes to definitions used in the code.
Growth Management Director Lisa Frazier opened the discussion, describing the work that produced the Phase 2 code updates and saying the changes are intended to "make the process more consistent and predictable for all of the end users." Frazier told the council the city had created about 66 new definitions and revised 22 others to close interpretation gaps in the recently adopted comprehensive plan updates.
