The Renton City Council on May 5 concurred with the Transportation Aviation Committee to authorize the mayor and city clerk to execute a contract with Westwater Construction Company for a general aviation apron and parking lot rehabilitation project at Renton Municipal Airport for an amount not to exceed $2,404,287.41.
The Transportation Aviation Committee presented the recommendation to execute the agreement for the “Windsock and 243 Building GA apron and parking lot rehabilitation project” and recommended concurrence in the staff recommendation. Council Member McGurbin moved that the council concur with the committee report; Council Member Perez seconded the motion. The council approved the motion by voice vote; the chair announced, “All in favor, signify by saying aye,” and the motion carried.
The committee report presented at the meeting specified the project scope (apron and parking lot rehabilitation for the Windsock and 243 building at the airport) and the contract not-to-exceed amount. The council did not record amendments or additional conditions on the floor; staff were authorized to proceed with contract execution in accordance with the committee recommendation.
