Planning staff announced May 5 that the Unified Housing Strategy has been released and that staff will hold multiple public workshops and presentations in May to share preliminary results and solicit feedback.
The planning team will present at the Metro Planning Commission on Thursday, May 8, and will host virtual presentations on May 15 and May 21. Planning staff also listed public engagement workshops on the preliminary housing and infrastructure study on several dates and locations in May, including May 12 at North Precinct, May 15 at Donaldson Library, May 20 at Southeast Library, May 14 at Hillsborough High School, May 19 at Madison Library, and May 31 at the Sunny West building; staff said an additional Bellevue date would be announced.
Council member Parker encouraged colleagues and the public to review materials at nashville.gov under the planning department and to attend the listed meetings. "To find out more information about those virtual presentations or any presentations with regarding the unified housing strategy, you can go to nashville.gov under the planning department and look up the unified housing strategy," Parker said.
The announcement referenced a recently released housing and infrastructure study; planning staff said preliminary results and recommendations are available and that the workshops will present those findings and gather public input. No council vote was required; the announcement closed the meeting.
