At its May 5 meeting, the Round Lake Area Schools Board approved a series of personnel and finance items including administrator and confidential staff contracts for 2025โ26, updates to the personnel inventory, and consent-agenda items.
Administrators presented a staffing update that added several positions (educational life skills teacher at McGee, French teacher at Round Lake Middle School and a special-ed resource at Village) and multiple teaching-assistant positions. Finance reported offsets โ including eliminating a stipend and other savings โ that produced net savings in the staffing packet. The board approved the personnel inventory and staffing updates by roll call.
The board also approved minutes and closed-session minutes from April meetings; passed consent items that included an accounts payable report totaling $1,326,655.25 and the May 5 employment report; and approved superintendent-evaluation related minutes and the dismissal of a listed probationary teacher after closed session. All items were approved by roll-call votes with affirmative votes from all present members.
