Dr. Ucheff, staff member, presented the remaining high school art curriculum maps and a minor revision to the high school course selection guide to accommodate Career and Technical Education (CTE) hour requirements.
Dr. Ucheff said the art curriculum maps are the continuation of prior K–8 reviews and that the high school courses had been discussed in curriculum committee meetings. The presentation included curriculum documents for board review; no substantive changes to program scope were reported.
On the course selection guide Dr. Ucheff explained a limited scheduling change: to meet CTE hour requirements, some students will have their general‑education courses associated with flex period/CLC time so they accrue required minutes. Board members confirmed the change only affects scheduling for students enrolled in CTE programs and asked clarifying questions; Dr. Ucheff said the modification was intended to satisfy hour requirements without changing course content.
Both the curriculum maps and the course guide update were provided to the board for review and will be returned for action as needed. No votes were taken at the meeting.
