Central York SD to renew Flexible Instructional Day application; district says practices unchanged

The application includes required assurances and exemplar lesson plans describing how asynchronous and flexible‑day instruction would be handled and reiterated that the district is limited to five FID days per year.
Board members asked if the administration was comfortable with the application; Dr. Ucheff said yes. The presenter noted a new facet in the current application: a set of assurances the district must check off if the district exceeds five FID days or otherwise modifies its practice.
With board approval next week, the district will submit the renewal application to PDE. No vote was taken at the discussion; the item is scheduled for action at the board’s next meeting.
