District hires Instructional Coaching Group to train six new instructional coaches

The board approved a $6,500 contract May 5 with Instructional Coaching Group to provide training on the Impact Cycle for six newly hired instructional coaches plus professional-learning specialists and the district professional learning lead.
District staff said the coaches will use the Impact Cycle model — identify, learn, improve — to support teacher practice and that the session is intended for the coaches as end users who will implement coaching cycles in buildings. The training will occur over the summer and coaches have committed to attend. Finance reviewed and confirmed dates and staffing commitments.
The contract passed by roll call vote with all present board members voting yes.
