"So I'd ask for you to approve this permit process today," she said, and moved that the chair be authorized to sign permits issued under the policy. Commissioners approved the motion by voice vote.
The staff presentation emphasized that the permit process is intended to provide an added layer of review in case calculations about axle loads or clearances are incorrect. The measure authorizes issuance of permits this summer as needed and requires transport companies to provide insurance coverage before using county infrastructure.
