Council approves request for $1,517.36 West Nile reimbursement from Oakland County

South Lyon — The City Council voted April 28 to adopt a resolution authorizing a reimbursement request to Oakland County’s West Nile fund for $1,517.36.
City staff told council Oakland County had approved the city’s West Nile virus project plan for the year and that South Lyon distributes insect repellent to residents and applies mosquito larvicide to city catch basins as part of its program. The resolution authorizes submitting the reimbursement request and requires the invoice and proof of payment to be filed with the Oakland County Health Division by the county deadlines cited by staff.
Council Member Mosier moved to approve the resolution in the amount of $1,517.36; Council Member Kibble seconded. City Clerk Dayton called a roll-call vote and the resolution passed.
Staff noted the reimbursement request must be submitted to the Oakland County Health Division by June 13, 2025, and that invoice and proof of payment must be submitted to the county by August 2025 for the allocation.
